SHENZHEN SINO-BENNY LPG TERMINAL PROJECT

Shenzhen Sino-benny LPG Terminal is set up at the Dapengwan Bay of Shenzhen, 2 sets of refrigerated tank is 57 meters in inner diameter, and 58.3 meters in outer diameter, with full height of 40.315 meters and unit weight of 2200 tons. It has an annual turnover capacity upto 960,000 tons and a storage capacity of 160,000 cubic meters. Moreover, it owns an investment of US$98,000,000.- along with a total dia-inches of pipe upto 75,000.

China National Nanhai Engineering Co.,ltd.undertook the major tasks in this project such as fabrication, installation, painting and insulation of the process equipment, piping, tank and non-standard equipment. Auto-welding process is applied for the circumferential welds of tank, and electric arc welding for horizontal welds. All the fabrication, installation and inspection are carried out as per API160A. In addition, air-lifting method is applied for tank roof erection, that is 500 tons of whole roof makeup is lifted by air to 39 meters high to fit with double shell top, met with international standard and specifications.

Started in December 1996 and completed in February 1998, it took a period of 14 months.

This project has been awarded the certificate of innovation techniques by the Ministry of Construction of China, and top-quality project award issued by the National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Bureau. Furthermore, the erection QC crew for roof makeup of outer tank is awarded the second grade diploma for chemical excellent quality management crew in China, and painting & insulation QC crew won the third grade diploma awarded for chemical excellent quality management crew in China by the Ministry of Chemical Industry.
